DAY 1
The best place to start an adventure, a good bike shop, a friend, and the best bike for you.
I could have been in a nice comfortable car traveling over this bridge on my way to Yosemite, but instead chose a better way, "My Bike."
Washoe Valley just south of Reno and a beautiful morning.
South into the hills.
And the mountains beyond.
Wow! What a beautiful place.
Yes, road construction for a bike too.
My first stop for a great lunch.
It just kept getting better at about 50 miles into the trip.
More Beauty.
Looking back on whence I came.
Up and up we went, me and my bike I call Fritz.
A time for a rest. 100 lbs of bike and gear.
At the top of Ebbits Pass.
At the top and pumped for more.Next was Hermit Valley. Almost did me it but left me with an unforgettable experience.
DAY 2
DAY 3
The sought after destination.
Drought has taken its toll.
Evidence of drought
Up the mountain I went.
Wow! A Pharmacy to get some real treatment for my injuries.
Just me, my thoughts, and the open road,
Up I went. It seemed endless.
Climbing higher.
I made it!
Some very nice people along the way.
First site of Yosemite Valley and a place to camp.
Just noticed my knees.
